Clay, Massage Therapy at CVC

May was a busy month for Jean Pierre. He participated in Clay Therapy and Massage Therapy, both organized by CVC at the National University of Rwanda. From the CVC web site:

This project has been received with eagerness and gratitude by the head of the Psychology Dept Dr. Vincent and the President of CPSAR, the student’s association, Kevin. They both feel using clay as a means of psychological healing will greatly benefit the vulnerable people suffering grief, anger, forgiveness and self-parenting issues so are busily organizing class rooms, accommodation, equipment, students, final times and dates that the lectures will be held.

Kasia will also be joining us with a massage and meditation workshop teaching villagers to nurture and heal each other and enable participants to create a possible avenue to generate an income through the application of massage. CVC’s objective is to empower the people so that they have skills to help them manifest more opportunities for an optimistic future; Kasia’s workshop is in alignment with this vision.

Laughter Yoga at CVC

Jean Pierre completed training in Laughter Yoga organized by Counseling Envisioning Community International (CVC) at Kigali.

What is Laughter Yoga? It is a revolutionary idea – simple and profound. An exercise routine, it is fast sweeping the world and is a complete wellbeing workout. It is the brainchild of Dr. Madan Kataria, an Indian physician from Mumbai who started the first laughter club in a park on 13th March 1995, with just 5 people. Today, it has become a worldwide phenomenon with more than 6000 social laughter clubs in 60 countries like India, USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia, Iran, Dubai, Bahrain, Israel, Tunisia, Jordan, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, South Africa, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam and many more.
